Fatberg warning Print E-mail
Tuesday, 14 November 2017 11:54

Deadly palm oil fatbergs have been found washed up on the UK's west coast beaches following the Caribbean storms.  These congealed lumps of fat are often irresistible to dogs but they can prove fatal.  (Several dogs died after fatbergs were washed up on Cornwall's beaches in 2014).  They have been spotted on beaches in Cumbria, Lancashire, Wales and Cornwall and several councils have erected signs urging walkers to keep their dogs on leads and to report sightings.
