Nothing is sacred - not even a microchip Print E-mail
Tuesday, 21 February 2017 13:19

It's tempting to imagine that now that your dog is microchipped, if the worst should happen and he should get lost or be stolen, it would be relatively easy to trace him.  But there have been cases of dog theft where the chip - which is about the size of a grain of rice - has been dug out, making it almost impossible for dog and owner to be reunited.  DogLost, the national organsisation for registering missing dogs, says that this has happened, albeit rarely.  We can only hope that the incidence of such a cruel practice does not increase.
