Does homeopathy work? Print E-mail
Wednesday, 20 July 2016 14:44

Homeopathy is one of those topics that raises strong emotional reactions: for and against.  Many people - including Prince Charles - swear by the discipline that claims to prevent and treat diseases using diluted forms of plants, herbs and minerals.  But others argue that the treatments are so diluted as to be ineffective and now more than 2,500 vets, vet nurses, scientists and animal lovers have urged the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to blacklist homeopathy.  They claim that it is unethical to inflict ineffective alternatives on creatures that have no choice.  Homeopaths argue that it is not true to state there is no evidence for the efficacy of veterinary homeopathy while the RCVS advises that such treatments are used with caution alongside conventional treatments rather than instead of them.
