It is Royal Mail's Dog Awareness Week until Saturday - a campaign which it is hoped will make dog owners more responsible.  Research reveals that 2,660 postmen and women suffer dog attacks every year.  The number rises during the summer holidays because dogs are more likely to be in the garden.  Your dog make think he is defending his property - but that is no excuse.  So if you have any doubts about your dog's behaviour, put a post box outside the gate...
