Most loving owners feel a close bond with their dog but now an Australian study has shown that the bond can be so close that their hearts even beat in sync with ours.  The researchers separated three dogs from their owners, placed heart monitors on each and then recorded what happened when they were reunited.  As soon as they met up again, both canine and human heartbeats fell and then, amazingly, followed the same pattern, rising and falling in tandem.
