Vets are concerned that an increasing number of owners are feeding their dogs a vegetarian diet, in line with their own beliefs about meat-eating.  They say that it is fine for humans to follow a meat-free diet if they wish but that dogs need meat for a healthy, active lifestyle.  Whilst on the subject of food ... don't forget that traditional Christmas foods like gravy, stuffing, mince pies, chocolate etc can make a dog really ill.  So however much you like the idea of your dog sharing your festive meal, he will be far happier with his usual fare and you will be saved a trip to the vet!  And on the subject fo Christmas, the RSPCA have expressed concern about the current fad for dressing up dogs.  Here, at the Canine Behaviour Centre we can see nothing wrong with a funny hat, antlers, jumper etc providing the dog shows no signs of anxiety or distress.

We wish all our many students, associate members, clients and visitors a very happy Christmas and successful, prosperous 2016...
