Understanding a dog's emotional state Print E-mail
Tuesday, 29 September 2015 11:10

Those of you who live in the vicinity of Glasgow may be interested in a talk on the science behind a dog's emotions and the functions they serve at the Dogs Trust West Calder Rehoming centre on November 8 from 10am until 4pm.  The speaker is Dr Robert Falconer-Taylor, a veterinary consultant and lecturer for the pet industry and animal welfare.  In this seminar he aims to show owners and canine professionals how to recognise and understand a dog's core emotional state, what can go wrong when emotions are affected negatively and how a change in a dog's emotional state through training or pharmacology can produce a behavioural change.  The Dogs Trust is offering students and members of the Canine Behaviour Centre a discount of 25% on the £50 tickets which include lunch and refreshments.  Call direct on 07920658653 stating Canine Behaviour Centre.  This promises to be a very interesting talk.
