Sniffing out cancer Print E-mail

Every day 112 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer in the UK; it is the second most common cause of cancer death.  The charity Medical Detection Dogs is working on the detection of this cancer in the hope that if dogs can sniff prostate cancer from a urine sample a test can be developed that would be far superior to the current, somewhat unreliable, PSA test which misses one in three men.
